ruler grid lines when you zoom in...?

If I could pick ONE feature for Sonar it would be the ability to see vertical grid lines when I zoom in on audio for editing.  Specifically, being able to choose which grid lines such as 16th notes (240, 480, 720, etc) or triplets (120, 320, 480, 640, 800, etc).  This is probably not a deal-breaker for most of you but for me it is so important I would instantly upgrade to any version that offered it.
 
So I guess two questions: Any way to do this in 8.3.1 or a possible workaround?  And also, do you happen to know if this feature becomes available in any later version?  I've searched the X2 forum without finding anything about it.  Maybe it's a feature not much discussed?
