running sonar in safe mode

Anyone ever try to work in XP safe mode?  I just lost a video card and have ordered another, but would really like to make progress on one tune I have - Sonar seems to run ok, but I can't get any I/O to either my FireBox or a cheap Behringer USB interface.  The only stable run I have is in safe mode.  Trying to run the video card crashes within a minute of startup, or doesn't allow startup at all.

Anyone know how to start up and load a driver for one of these?  I think that's the problem, the safe mode doesn't load the drivers.

Perhaps a reverse approach.... is there a way I can disable the graphics card and start normal XP?

Does your mom have an integrated graphic card? You can try using that. Safe mode most likely disabled all those things you cant do

If your mobo has an integrated graphics card, just enable the integrated one and disable the  bad one in your bios and device manager and then take it out of your pc.
You may need to install the drivers for your integrated onboard graphics card before doing the above. That's if your mobo even has one

That sucks man... Safe Mode disables plug n play devices so usb is no good.  Are you mixing or needing to record?
