saddest moment : "lemover"

my 5-year-old suggested the title. marriage on the rocks and some, waiting for my wife to come, cause i can't keep it in any longer ... this ditty is 90bpm wlatz-brush jazz, some reverse guitar, some thoughtful moody solos, vocals as ever a bit rough ...
lyrics as f:

verses:

you only know half of the secret
you've only got half of the rhyme
you're one with a light and no cigarettes
i've got the clock, just don't have the time
you're always dancing alone
i'm on the bus; you're on the phone
this is the last place i expected to be
in kathmandu; on my knees

after each 2 lines you get the chorus: there must be some way bforward / i know there's no way back

wrote all that cause it's hard to hear what i'm singng usually

thanks

neil

    Now that's country- Muddy.

Alright, maybe not- but it could be. Don't you think? Something to think about.

Very cool exactly as you have it, though. Enjoyed it!

    Muddy,

Somber but fun. Interesting also – a nice set of lyrics. A bit on downside, but that’s understandable. To me, the guitar is a bit busy and I feel the song cries out for a bridge of some sort. What do I know? Nothing. As for the message in the song, yes, there is some way forward.

just mail me at eldnepal@yahoo.com - will be happy to answer all; tho a quick answer in a material sense is that i run an NGO and train development workers
the real reason im here is probably something else.. the song, by the way, was composed the day i confessed an extramarital affair - and believe me, it's fresh. that's why the some way forward lyric is so important ... we are moving forward and, ironically, after diads and the refereeing of a spiritual teacher this morning, are probably more in love than we have ever been - while seperating - and have more respect and honesty today than we've had for years. While washing one's laundry in public is often just plain dumb, those were my soiled undies, dude. And, no, it's not a coffee shop topic. Because all my songs come from the need to express myself, the need which I also denied myself 14 years to try to be what someone else expected me to be. If you look at the songs (the 'muddy' stuff) there's a story there ....
ok so i spilled my guts here, anyone who wants to comment on this thread should e-mail me personally

and to all the people i've ranted at or pissed off (and i apologise, chas) I've just been projecting my drama and conditioning on you all. we're here for the music: none of us can claim to be perfect - and who would want to be?

today i feel love for everyone in this wonderful forum, and wish you all that your music brings release for you and joy to others.

    Dear Manny

I hope you understand from the post above that there were neither personal nor artistic reasons why i didn't respond after you sent me the slide tracks. From my first post you have given me tremendous support, and do do much appreciate that, after my silence, you still responded.

The good news is that here is a way forward, and my Elif (I can't label her anymore) are taking it.

Well, I for one think that's probably the most important function of our art, I salute you, and thank you for sharing.
