save a plug in preset as the default preset

Can someone remind me how to do this so that it will be automatically loaded each time? I can't remember where I read about it. thanks!

    OK now I know how to save it in the preset manager but it's not showing up as the default when I load the plug.Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

    Is this available in Sonar? I didn't know. How do you do it? I just checked the reference guide and the online help but couldn't figure it out.

    open the browser, plug-ins, plug-in manager, select a lay out file - upper right, select & right-click a plug from the column below, select properties & choose a default preset

    Oh, thanks. But it's a little disappointment because it seems the feature is only for audio plugins. I don't see any preset in the Default Preset list of VSTi/DXi plugins. Not even that of TTS-1
