    Hi robert-

what do i save sonar as if i'm working in sonar 4 and i'm saving the midi files basically in a project.

If you're only interested in sharing the MIDI data in your project (no audio), just save it in MIDI Format 1. Those files are typically very small and can be easily sent as e-mail attachments.

Assuming you're just working in MIDI (and not audio) then if the other person has Sonar 4 (or 5) then you can save the files as normal Sonar files and email them as attachments. If the other person uses a different sequencer then save them as MIDI Type 1 (multi track) and email them.
