seriously, we need a new place to hang out

because this disappearing post crap is absolutely intolerable.

if the off topic area let you continue conversations that would be one thing, but this "mommy says you can't talk about music here" deal is really ****.

especially since the happy easter thread was allowed to survive untouched (not that i had a problem with the easter thread, not in the least, but i mean, that's really ot, innit?).

what the hell is the standard at work here? i don't want to be in the middle of a conversation and then have it abruptly snagged off to nowhere.

edit: and why didn't the censor catch me swearing?

It was always a certainty that that topic would be moved...I guess we shouldn't complain too much, as at least they haven't been deleting the [track] threads in this forum, which is well within their rights to do...

Maybe if they started telling us about some of the exciting plans for P5 that said would be revealed in the coming months, then we would have more reason to keep on-topic

i'm not complaining, per se, i'm saying i wish i could still talk to y'all somewhere else where we wouldn't be on someone else's agenda. cake has every right to clean up their website however they want.

kvr has always allowed a great deal of latitude and the of-topic topics there are generally very entertaining
but i think that would be seen as a bit of an invasion

no, the only thing to do johann, is startup that myspace.com site you've always wanted and allow us on as freinds

Isn't there a forum at the Frappr site? However, another place to chat would inevitably dilute this place, and probably would not get, err, 'lute' enough itself. That would be a great shame.

Short of someone around here with some webspace setting up a BB for us all to use freely, I don't know what else can be done...would this forum wither and die if that happened?

Good question Jopy. If they play hard enough we could loose three pages of analog / digital discussion...

I certainly didn't see much wrong with Blipps thread, it was an interesting point of reference and helps to understand the perspective of others on this forum. It's that old community spirit thing getting another kicking. I bet cake love the creative ideas that are thrown in the forums when it comes to product development, shame they can't tolerate the friendly exchanges that stimulate that interaction.

I'd participate...but I would still use this place too, as it would still be useful for talking about official P5 stuff, especially when they decide to give us the good stuff on a new version...

Just one note: if someone does do a new BB, can they make sure it has the proper smilies

There won't be a version 3. We've been very naughty and nearly filled up all the OT slots, so we must be punished.

Ok...so I'm missing some private joke Jopy..

But I can't believe they moved that thread! What the heck? yeah...of all the threads, why that? And indeed...WHY AT ALL??

Since when did they move threads from here? I thought everything in moderation was allowed here!?

    This is ridiculous!
