sfz support in BeatCreator is near!

Calling all groove manglers! When the next BeatCreator/BeatQuantizer update drops (very soon) it will include newly added support for the sfz export!

“What will this allow me to do?”

• Roll your own sfz Synchronized Loop files (for tempo synced playback in Dimension/RXP/Rapture, et al)
• Create slice maps from your own files (i.e. each slice is triggered by a different key, you choose the starting note)
• Convert your REX & ACID loops over to sfz format (for hard-core, per-slice manipulations, randomisations, FX treatments, etc.)
• Save sfz & ACIDized waves simultaneously (Got P5? Use your loop in Dimension or as a Groove Clip!)
• Plus more… (I'll post some some real-world examples when the time's right.)

In the meantime, drop by Zero-X to find out what you're in for…

    Shack Up looks good

Thanks! Wasn't sure if you checked that out… A very “bare bones” loop, that one (KD, HH & SD only), but it showed what to expect from BC & BQ output (viewed through UltraEdit-32, of course):

So basically this app is like recycle but with some different file import and export options?

    like recycle

BeatCreator can do a lot more than ReCycle (e.g. more: DSP effects, time-stretching options, quantising, multi-track, export options, better horizontal zoom (32:1!!!), etc.)

The catch is, ReCycle has the jump on it when it comes to REX export since the Props won't let 3rd party apps export .rx2 files! Fortunately, BeatCreator can open .rx2, just not save, so you'd have no worries converting over to sfz format.

Also, it's quite a bit cheaper than ReCycle…

Also, I'll be posting some example files (e.g. tried-and-true, much sampled, classic break beats) very soon. This will serve to get an idea of what BeatCreator can do in terms of preparing files and also what Dimension can do once you've got your loops in sfz Synchronized Loop format. Stay tuned…
