should i contact cust support or can you guys help
I tried loading "kick drum life 1" template on my kick track...it loads but one of the pre loaded vst's that make up the template is not present...when i click on the (ts4 transient shaper) button i get an error message "this plugin is missing or improperly installed the original plugin state is saved by this stand in and will be restored if you save the project and subsequently load it on a system where the program is properly installed " im not really sure what that means ..i guess im wondering if anyone here cam help or should i contact customer support...ty all Sonar platinum btw

Yeah, I'm sure we can help here. All that means is that the drum template uses the Transient Shaper plugin effect to alter the sound. For some reason the TS is not installed on your system. The TS is an older plugin and may have been discontinued from the current SONAR bundle (I am not sure though... someone else would have to confirm). So if you bought Sonar recently and do not own and/or have an older package that DID include it then obviously Sonar can't load the plugin. This doesn't hurt the template of make it not work. It just means you won't have the TS affecting the signal (the template itself is likely older as well and they just haven't removed it from the included templates list). The other possibility, if the TS has NOT been discontinued, is you did not install all the extra FX packages that come with Platinum. They are separate downloads/installers so check your Cakewalk account or Cakewalk Command Center installer to verify you have indeed installed everything. If not do so and try loading the template again. IF you happen to have an older Sonar version that included the TS but simply do not have it installed on your current system for whatever reason you can do an Advanced Installation of Sonar which gives you a list of specific elements you can install (such as discontinued plugins) without installing the entire package. HNY, John. Yeah... I kind of dropped out due to being distracted/busy and trying to set up my next phase of shenanigans. It's also been kind of hard finding pure technique/workflow/advice threads I can help with around here lately. Been trying to scan the forum daily so I can try to answer at least one question daily without getting pulled into any weirdness. lol... Anyway, hope you've been well. To the OP, if the TS-64 is still included in the Platinum bundle then my best guess is that you overlooked installing the plugin package that it lives in. I'd check to see exactly which bundle that is but the Cake site is currently down for some maintenance but really you should just install ALL of the effects bundles because there are tons of useful goodies in there. Hello, I have the same problem, TS-64 seems to be not available. In the VST plugin folder there is a TS_64 .dll file but in the plugin manager tool i can not find the TS-64. I already re-installed platinum and Boutique Suite, but TS-64 is still not present... Maybe it is a Licence issue? or is it a 64bit only plugin? ( I use w7 32bit)... Any hint is wellcome.. Thomas

It's important to do a RESET of your plugins before doing a rescan.

Find the boutique suite file, double click it, which runs it in Verbose mode and when the screen opens, run the installer and check which plugins are included.
If you not where the installer files are kept it may be just as quick to download it again from your account.

So, I have found workaround to get TS-64 Back.. :-) 1) Rollback Boutique FX Suite to 1.0.0.11. 2) Then Reset Pugins in Plugin-Manager, 3) Rescan Plugins
