should i delete my picture cache ??

was looking through the x1 files last night and i noticed a slew of files in the picture cache..im not talking about 20-30..im talking about 200-300..is this just wasted space?.would it hurt to delete the picture cache and what is it for?
the files are real small but they do add up.and im just not to sure about what the cache does.

    Hi, Charlie - Those are the image files for the wave forms in your projects.  It's perfectly safe, and recommended even, to throw them all out once in awhile.  Next time you open a project that had its images in what you threw out, Cakewalk just creates new ones, and the picture cache starts filling up again.

    NP, Charlie - There really isn't any other info on it though.  It's just that straight forward - it's the image cache for displaying your tracks, and automatically regenerates on a per-project basis if you toss the lot out once in awhile.

    Strangely enough, though I'm sure some will dispute this, you should delete the picture cache of tracks you have not worked on in some time. Especially if they are caches of tracks you have altered and made new versions of. Every save gives you a date after alterations have been made. Some of the file associations can contain problems.

    Yes,  I seem to have problems,  some editing functions will not work properly if the pic cashe is full.  I empty it out and Sonar will start working fine again.
