    I got the matches.... you got the lighter fluid?

    I'm with ya on that.... actually, I gave up trying to learn how to play the guitar years ago.

    I saw so many of these "kids" doing stuff that was so unbelievable that I had no clue on...... I just play what I play and try to get some feeling in it.

    I think by practicing classical guitar I've been able to keep my chops up. It's been a while since I've worked on a piece. The last one was Etude #1 by Fernando Sor. This one comes from the Andre Segovia studies.

    I think maybe I'll pull out my studies again.

    My problem is I don't know where to put my fingers on the strings....when it comes to that classical stuff.

    My biggest problem is that I don't play them on a classical guitar. Makes it a bit harder. They usually include the position and fingerings where necessary for both left and right.

    Right hand:
    p = pulgar or thumb
    i = indice or index finger
    m = medio or middle finger
    a = anular or ring finger

    Left hand
    1 = index
    2= middle
    3= ring
    4= pinkie

    What was really cool is she seems to be enjoying herself.
    I was curious about the discipline aspect, but her body movements, and that little smile she cracks, indicate she is liking what she is doing.
    Oddly, this doesn't make me want to burn my guitars(which I can't play nearly that well), but the games that the kids here waste their energy on.

    I have a grandson who wants me to teach him guitar, but all the kid does is play video games. I do not want to waste the timne to try and tyeach him when all he will do is practice blasting zombies!! Not riffing like the zombies!

    a lot of people would like to learn how to play guitar if it didn't take practice, patience, building up of skills and learning music.
