si drum kit meter change

I am doing a song in 6/8 time but I cant get the drum kit to change meter. I am pretty sure that I am doing the right thing to change, but still plays in 4/4. I can change tempo but not meter. what am I doing wrong?

Just to confirm - the MIDI clip is also programmed for 6/8, right?  You're not trying to change a 4/4 clip to a shuffle?

SI Drums will play MIDI data in an instrument or MIDI track. This data is organized into clips. The patterns listed under the transport in the SI Drums UI are also MIDI clips. Usually meter other than 4/4 is part of a MIDI clip name. I do not see any 6/8 clips in the patterns listed in SI Drums.

The drum kit itself doesn't care.  It's the data that's being inputted into the synth that matters.  If that data is 4/4, then I think that 4th beat would technically land on the 1st beat of the 3/4 measure, and would keep looping like that.
If you've found a 4/4 beat that you like, but want to amend it to a 3/4, you'll probably have to go into the MIDI Piano View and delete the 4th quarter of the loop.  If I'm understanding the issue properly.
