side-scrolling the track view

I thought that I used to be able to do this, but with my new mouse I can only scroll the midi/note view.
Am I not setting something right?
I have the latest drivers, John, it isn't that.

Yes, I am talking about scrolling with the wheel side-to-side.

I'll assume your mouse has that capability. Go to Windows Control Panel-Mouse and make sure you have it set up properly.

Yes, it is set properly. I can side scroll other views, like the midi view and the note view, just not the track view!

Do you have a clip highlighted in the track view when you try to scroll. I believe it will only scroll if a scrollable window has the focus. I could be offbase and I don't have a mouse with that function anymore to try it out.
