    Hi Neon,

I'd be willing to give it a try. Let me know if your interested. I'm on cable so upload/download is not a problem. I assume we would want to keep everything as wave files? Cheers, looking forward to working on this project.

    Thanks Neon...

I'm going to start another thread over at the "Songs" forum so we can easily keep track of the song info. It will be good to document things as we go along. I will leave my e-mail address there. Thanks again... can't wait to get started. I'll have some free time over the next couple of nights.

    Cheers

No.... it would BE a cover. I hope you're going to do something different with it and not just a copy. That would be boring.

Actually ohhey , there is only 1 high pitched Plant squeel in the whole song (maybe 2), the rest is pretty basic vocal wise.

Um... That one 'plant squeal' is an entire verse tho- I know this song well :D

I covered that once "just tuning the gear" and did the whole thing as a blues instrumental, kind of like how Steve Ray did Little Wing... Fun fun fun song to play ;)

    Yes, you are right
in order to change this song to sound interesting you have to be a hell of a musician. Some songs are just not good to cover because it doesn't get any better than the original..My idea is to provide my version of the Jimmy Page solo parts and just enjoy..I hope Blackdog will also enjoy singing it..The idea is not to become famous for covering this song..
I make music for fun and because I love doing it..From time to time I play my stuff over backing tracks...
If I understood well your tone is a bit bitter and not very friendly..if that is the case, I don't know why I deserved it..
anyway, the thread is now at the Song forum and I have invited others to participate as well..
