soft synths don't play back

Hi there,

Does anyone know???

Since yesterday i use the Line 6 Helix rack as audio interface.
And there is a problem since...
When I start a project the soft synths refuse to produce sound. Sometimes a few seconds i hear them and then it stops and don't come back......

Regards,
Robin

    Hi, and welcome.
Which version of SONAR do you have?
Which driver mode do you use?
ASIO is the preferred driver. If not done already, download and install from Line6 web site.
Can you make the soft synths produce any sound?
Have you made sure the correct MIDI channel is set for that track?
    All the best.

    Hi there,
    I use Sonar professional.
    ASIO is used,
    Midi in:virtual controller, Out...de softsynth.
Sessiondrummer works OK, but when I ad more softsynths.....nothing, only sessiondrummer....

    Welcome to the forum.
Where they ever working? With what audio interface or sound card?
Check all your track routings. Ensure they are going to the synths you insert and that the synth's output is directed to a valid output.
And check that each MIDI track is using a different channel.
    What's "de softsynth"?

If you are using the Helix Rack via USB, SONAR may default to it as the ASIO audio device (and there can be only one).  Check in audio devices to see (Edit>Preferences>Audio>Devices).  If you are OK with that, leave it be and just be sure you have your monitors and headphones fed by the Helix outputs and be sure those outputs are configured properly on the Helix. If you are not OK with that and want to switch back to your standard audio interface, just de-select the check boxes for the Helix ins and outs and check instead the boxes for your other interface.  You will also have to go into Driver Settings (Edit>Preferences>Audio>Driver Settings) to switch out the Playback and Record "Timing Master" to the appropriate interface.  (You might even have to do that first, I forget)
