soft synths sound like microsoft wavetable

i got about 20 soft synths and had no problem till today.all synths sound the same all of a sudden. i checked the inputs and outputs but it's not that.. any help?

    hmmm, if it sounds like microsoft wavetable, that's probably what it is.  I know you've said you checked your inputs and outputs, but the dreaded soundcard synth has to be selected by accident as your primary MIDI module.  You need to select your synth and make sure your tracks are being set up connected to it.  The least confusing way to do that is to not use Instrument track, but to have a MIDI track and Audio track - you can see what's going on clearly that way.

    thx it was actually some ticking the midi output in the dialogue box when inserting the synths.
