some questions about Music Creator 5

hello

i am thinking about buying Music Creator 5 and want to ask a few questions to help me decide.

1. I gather Music Creator 5 is now compatible with Windows 7 (is this true )

2. I see if you get the boxed version with the CD in you get loads more sounds and effects than the downloaded version,
    are the extras worth it?

3. i want to get the studio instruments with Music Creator so i can fill out with piano and strings ect. Using this software, can
you choice different chords to put onto the track? (eg, create and paste  in a violin   fill in Dm for example)

4. i want to use the Music creator software to create demo tracks, so will it be able to output to CD quality MP3 or Wav files?

many thanks

Jason

    1. Yes, with conditions. http://www.cakewalk.com/Page.aspx/Windows-7-Resource-Page

    2. Yes, from what I've read here from other MC 5 users.

    3. It comes with a MIDI arpeggiator which will kinda do what you describe, but it won't actually draw in chords or notes and you can't select a chord from a file and paste it in unless you create the file.

    4. You will be able to export CD-quality audio to a CD burning program and you can export audio to an mp3 converter for uploading to the internet or emailing friends and collaborators.
I've never tried burning and converting from my MCs, but some MCs and SONAR can do that. More research is needed (by me, I forgot which does what. ). There is no CD-quality mp3.

Music Creator 2003, MC Pro 24, SONAR Home Studio 6 XL, SONAR  X3e, CbB, Focusrite Saffire, not enough space.

    1. yes see the spec page for MC5/W7 for details

    2. yes they are.

    3. Yes... BUT.  You can use staff view and piano roll view (PRV) to input notes with a mouse.... some people are pretty good at that.... most people use a midi keyboard of some sort to "play" the notes and let MC5 record them in real time.

    4. yes.... listen to my music.... it is all recorded, mixed, and mastered in Music Creator.  Click on my web page and then on MY MUSIC....  It exports WAVES and I use a converter outside MC to convert to high quality MP3 (320kbs)

Buy the BOXED version ...not the download. You get more stuff in the box.

And plan on buying a dedicated musical USB interface designed for recording.
