some questions

I just started using Music Creator Pro for putting my piano compositions down as sheet music. I have everything hooked up and connected. I have the following questions:

1) I don't want all those rests all over the place. How do I get rid of them. It looks like the program thinks I'm writing for several different voices.

2) I want my final product to look like a page of sheet music. How come it only has one staff line that goes on for ever and ever.

Thanks for answering .

The staff writing features of MC , or any cakewalk program are basic, for very detailed staff writing get a notation program, i use finale's notepad and it is free, the rest will work themselves out when you get the notes in the write timing, most of that stuff is automatic and it can make you crazy.

You need to reset your note resolutions to get rid of the extra rests. You will never get perfect sheet music from Cakewalk, although if you study the Help File for staff notation you will get farther down the road. - Perhaps as far as you need to go.

If not check an earlier post about notation from just a few days back.
