The Story

Worship Team Band wants to do A CD To give out at the Easter Service

The rhythm Section comes over records in my living room  Feb 19

16 different singers come in at various times and record their parts - resulting in most songs having over 30 tracks of vox  - total onf 7 songs recorded

song one - first song on the CD - just finished mixing - I have 6 more to go

threw the "elephant" limiter on it with a pre set setting  - I kinda considered that "mastering" in terms of what I know how to do

and I am considering the first song done

unless someone gives me a "URIKA!!" moment and changes my mind

feel free to rip the mix  apart though - Bapu all ready did

This version is much better than Cats.

I never saw Cats, but I can imagine this version is better than Cats.

I'm going to listen to this version over and over again.

But why did you put all that music after the comedy?

Mooch, why did you take this down from Songs?  It sounds good... very uplifting kind of feel, and a great choice for the 1st cut on the cd.

    because my brain exploded ...

I have about 5 or 6  different mixes -  and about 3 or for different "masters"

and then I posted it -  and I am hearing different opinions and one guy who I wont even name - re did a whole new master with his vision '

    and then my brain exploded

I dont know anymore - whats best for this song - i need to walk away from it and come back later

I am trying to hard or something

but first - - I have to pick up my brains from the explosion

Mooch.  He's kind of a big deal.

Hang in there, man.  Rest your ears (and your mind) and come back fresh.  It'll be okay.

(I should mention that I can't listen to it here at work, so I don't actually know anything at all.  So, nothing's really changed.)

I also listened on computer speakers(albeit good ones) at work, so I cant be critical but the vocals could use some "sheen"? AFA eq or shaping . but I will listen at home on the mixdown monitors

GIVE your ears a REST!!! come back physically and emotionally rested and  re listen, then make any adjustments if you want ..
