sonar 6.2 unfreeze syth problem

Anyone seen this problem?
Just installed 6.2. If I try to unfreeze synth on projects created with 6.0.1, SONAR simply exits - no errors - nothing! Unistalled 6.2 and reverted back to 6.0.1 and unfreeze works fine.
Still waiting for response from cakewalk support - I won't be putting 6.2 back on untill I get an answer.

Appreciate any help

John

Must be the revenge of the syth.

If this happening for everybody, then you will probably have to wait awhile because it will need a patch.
In the meantime, I wonder (if you have a manageable amount of projects) perhaps you should unfreeze all your synths and then upgrade and refreeze.
Frozen tracks in a closed project do not help anything, and most likely you will want to unfreeze before doing the final mix. Just a thought.

I bounce or freeze all softsynth as soon as possible.
I believe that one reason for freezing is so you don't loose the sound, even if the syth has been defeated and no longer available.

This is a good way to capture the sound - and surely bouncing is more permanent then freezing. I don't knock the practice.
I was looking for a way to upgrade if this is a "bug" that is produced simply by applying the upgrade.
It would appear that (if this is reproduced by everybody) that there is some glitch that appears when unfreezing a track frozen before the upgrade. Not a problem if you are not going to unfreeze (bouncing would be more appropriate in that case IMO) - but if the intention is to freeze for CPU conservation during the editing process - then unfreezing to upgrade doesn't hurt anything but the clock!
