sonar 7 x full version or not ?

hello all ! 
 i`m  new to this site and was wondering about the (sonar 7 x ) do i have to have cakewalk already on my computer to use this for 79.00 i found on their site or can i buy it and use it like a full version ?  thank you very much for any replys , i can`t afford hundreds of dollars !    Danny

    I assume you're talking about SONAR 7XL Home. No, it's not an upgrade and you don't need anything else preinstalled. I'd suggest looking at SONAR X1 Essential, 99 bucks from Sweetwater.


    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
