sonar Plat./new computer

I have Plat. loaded on two computers A tower that I use in my studio for heavy lifting , Mixing ,  Mastering etc..  And a laptop that I use as part of my mobile rig . The problem is my laptop has died , it is my understanding that you can only have the software lessened on two computers . I am going to have to get a new laptop , being mobile is very important part of what I do , how do I get Platinum on the new laptop ? The hard drive from the old laptop is functional , and can be put into a external case .
Please help , I really don't want to spend $$$$$$$$$$$$ to buy another DAW .
I know the band camp is doing something with cakewalk , but I haven't checked it out ,I use this in my Business and cant have limitations .
Thanks.

There should be no problem installing Platinum on the new machine using the Command Center. You will have to deactivate the old computer in your XLN and Celemony accounts to use Addictive Drums and Melodyne as they actually restrict the number of active licenses (unlike Cakewalk which never really counted installs).

BandLab has nothing to do with BandCamp. They are two different companies. BandLab purchased the Cakewaalk IP and are releasing updated versions of the Platinum core for free. You may want to install it after Platinum to take advantage of updates and bug fixes that have been made. It installs like an upgrade to Platinum. Both Platinum and Cakewalk by BandLab may be installed on the same machine. The other thing to consider is BandLab supports CbB, there is no company supporting Platinum.

Just read this and was a bit surprised and a little thankful Sonar Plat still allows the download of it's elements. Like the user (handyman), I too have a laptop and desktop tooled the same way and I want to replace the HD in the laptop ... didn't, haven't done it yet because I didn't wanna lose Plat in place of the orange version.

Thanks for the I/P I can now go ahead and replace WIN 10 with WIN 7 PRO without worry (XCPT what you said about the XLN and Cel always moaney ... 'Cause I knew that bit.

Very little to go on there.  Make sure the Lenovo is fully patched before installing Command Centre and Cakewalk....

Also, if you do attempt to install Cakewalk by Bandlab (via Bandlab assistant) on the Levono, remember that this can only be installed on a 64bit version of Windows 7 or above.

    Windows 10 64bit fully patched, 16 gig ram .
    PCR-800 Controller.  (Working in Win 10 1809 64bit)
    CPU: i5 4670.
    Video: Nvidia GTX560ti (latest drivers).
Audio IF: Focusrite 2i2 2nd Gen

    Internet always on.

    Software
    : Cakewalk by Bandlab (2018.09 B29)
    ASIO mode. 24bit 48khz 256 samples
    Rapture Pro, AAS GS2, VS-3, EP-4, VA-2, Chromophone 2, Z3TA+ 2, Addictive drums 2, Addictive Keys, Mpowersynth (latest), Iris 2, GPO5, Sampletank 3,

Check that the Lenovo is running the 64-bit Windows if you are trying to install 64-bit Sonar.

Better yet, I would wipe the Lenovo drive and do a full system recovery with a fresh OS, preferably 64-bit.

DAW: CbB; Sonar Platinum, and others ...
