Hi friends I have this old cakewalk installed in windows 7. Is working, but when I exit from home studio 4. I have to rebot my pc to launch it again. Do you know why? Thanks in advance

not sure of exactly why.  what happens when you exit?  you didn't say what it was doing to cause you to have to reboot. is it locking up windows?

SHS4 was written long before win7 ever existed, so it's not "compatible" - that doesn't mean it won't run, but there's a possiblity that this can't be resolved since you're running on win7.

    your English is quite good.

in the case you're talking about then, it might be that SHS is not ever really closing.  do you have a MIDI controller connected to the computer?  if so, some versions of sonar would not release the program from windows if the MIDI driver was still running.

if you have a MIDI/USB cable connected to the computer then it might not be convenient to disconnect it before closing SHS.  but if you have something connected via MIDI port it would be fairly simple to disconnect before closing SHS

if neither of those is the case, then after you close SHS, open the TASK MANAGER in WINDOWS and find SONARPDR or something similar and choose CLOSE THIS PROGRAM.  it will warn you that something might not work, but that's ok.  that should allow SHS to close completely and allow it to open again the next time you want to run.
