sonar platinum: double click on midi clip does not open piano roll!
I have just installed sonar platinum and i came from years of sonar 8.5 use. I have still to explore trhe new interface, but the most annyoing thing i have found so far is the handling of piano roll editor. I was used to double click on a midi clip to open the piano roll window in full screen. this seems not possible anymore... a double click does not open anything and the piano roll is opened "docked" to the main screen. if i "undock" it, then i cannot switch betweent the different windows (main window, piano roll, staff...) with ctrl-tab as i was used to. any solution?? this completely changes my workflow and is terrible!!! thanks

Above the track view, go to: Options --> Click Behavior --> Double-Click --> Midi Clips --> Piano Roll (Check option) This will do what you want.
A deep chesty bawl echoes from rimrock to rimrock, rolls down the mountain, and fades into the far blackness of the night. It is an outburst of wild defiant sorrow, and of contempt for all the adversities of the world. - Aldo Leopold

Switching between docked tabs is accomplished with Ctrl + Shift + [left or right] arrow keys. On a Mac, substitute the appropriate key for Ctrl (the "option" key?). Opening and closing docked windows is accomplished by pressing the 'd' key (for dock, get it?). Or you can re-open the clips/tracks view with the view menu or with Alt+1. Finally, you can bind your own shortcut keys in the preferences window (Edit > Preferences). Have fun with your new Sonar installation!

Platinum's Gui & workflow is VASTLY different to 8.5 You would do well to view several of the many Platinum tutorials that are in existence as well as read up on the new keyboard shortcuts. In time you'll hopefully come to the conclusion that the new system is more efficient and logical

I use this shortcut so much I expect that I'll wear out the D key.

That and SHIFT + D those 2 shortcuts are so worn, I can barely see the letter color on my PC's keyboard.

Back on topic..
When I first moved to the X series, I kept trying to force it to work like previous versions.
I had the PRV undocked for ages because that was how I was used to working. I couldn't see the point in the new way.
Eventually something made me try using the dock, and I discovered the D and Shift+D shortcuts. I couldn't believe how much better the workflow was.
After this it was using Screensets, I, B and C. I could not imagine going back to the old ways.
Ctrl+Z hasn't changed, which is lucky for me. That is too ingrained to ever change..
