sonar x2 and ezd2

Just loaded ezd2 and ive been told that in previous projects all vsti outputs get
assigned to ezd2, I need to open vst output channel and reassign to it's original
soft synth as nothing is playing back at the moment, been going round and round it
anyone no how to do this,
