sonar x2 essential or sonar x3 with pro channels

Could I use the pro channels on the sonar x2 essential or sonar x3 if I buy them separate? 
Or will the pro channel only work in Sonar producers?

    ProChannel Modules work in X1 Producer Extended, X2 Producer, X3 Studio and X3 Producer only
