song sped up?

I was messing around with the new version of Peavey's Revalver and just recorded a short 30 second segment. I recorded 4 guitars and has a stereo midi track of superior drummer. All sounded good so I exported it, but when I listened to the exported tune it is clearly sped up, like a little less than double time.

I went back into the project and the entire project sounds that way now?

I record at 24 bit 48K and everything is set right, what could it be?

What can happen is to do with your Sample rate = 48.
If you play back a song recorded at 48 at 44.1 it will speed up a little and be out of pitch.

This was happening to me if I listened to a song in Media Player and then would return to Sonar.
Solution for me was set (under Options) "share drivers with other programs"

The only way to hear a project at a different sample rate is to export it to a different sample rate. This way sonar does the necessary things to make it play correctly. If you dont, then what Cactus explained will happen.
