    I don't believe it is.
I have a Space Pilot and X1 is not recognized by it.
In the case of the Space Pilot the drivers have to be written by the program maker ie. Cakewalk.
They have no such driver that I'm aware of.

What is a space mouse and a space pilot Guys?

EDIT: Just found one on a google search, the name is so generic I thought a search would be confusing. Well, a space mouse is £134 here in the UK, they would have to be really good for that much money !

They are 3D navigation devices. In other words a mouse and joystick all in one.
I'm not sure how the OP was intending to use the Space mouse other than using the buttons on it for executing menu commands.
There is nothing 3D about X1, not yet anyway. Maybe that's were the new interface is headed. The 3D realm.
    Just kidding, kinda.

Those are the old cheap ones.
Have a look at 3DConnexion for a price on the new ones. Around $400.

thanks.   yeah I was thinking about setting the buttons for functions. and maybe, just maybe  be able to use the "handle" for something like surround pan automations or something.  maybe tinkering with a rolling "leslie" type pan or something where perception would play a roll.
** for those that are thinknig wtf are you talking about
use the sontis wah-wah   or surround as a ref.

seems like I might have a little better control moving the point of view around with a space mouse than useing a regular little clicky mouse.       It was just a thought.    sucks having a $300 mouse laying around and only be useable for CAD stuff.. heh
thanks for the input my friends..

Depends if you can find him.  You may have to lure him out with a piece of cheese.

In all seriousness, my Contour Shuttle pro works great. Id assume you would have similar results.

    Best,

I have the Wacom Bamboo multitouch pad. Works great with Sonar. If it works with Windows, it should work with Sonar because the input device has nothing to do with Sonar.
