spliting and joining sections from different sources

Hi,
I purchased Pyro5 this afternoon. I have been reading thru the manual this evening. I read the section on spitting track into sections. Can I split off sections from different tracks and merge them in a new track?
If so can you explain how?

    There are two different loosely related things here. The audio clips, which can be split, can be dragged around as you want to put them anywhere you want. This means if you put the clips right up against each other, they will play just as if they had been "joined". The track markers at the bottom of the screen can be moved around, and don't have to correspond to the clips at all -- you can place and delete them any way you want.
