spongebob?
Hey! Any Spongebob Squarepants fans here? I've never watched it before but I've been working on the Norwegian dub of it for the past week. And I keep laughing all the way through it!! I'm amazed by the humour in it - it's right up there with Simpsons, South Park etc but without the profanities. And for once I've been looking forward to go to work. That kind of nonsensical humour is great and I understand why it's so popular and ok to watch for children. But I'm guessing a lot of parents are tearing their hair out over all the screaming Peace!

Due to my 8yo grand daughter I have seen nearly every SpongeBob episode there is. I am now working my way through all the Pokemon shows... but it is worth it: quality time with a great kid. Actually, I love SpongeBob! Julen PS I have a Spongebob shirt "Employee of the month" and a set of SpongeBob PJs (they were a gift, laff. Julien

Ha ha there ya go! I think that Spongebob is way more appealing to the adult audience than Pokemon is. But the quality time with your granddaughter is of course what really matters. Interestingly, children prefer to watch cartoons in company by a parent og grand parent rather than on their own. They loose interest quicker when watching by them selves

Ha ha! just had a browse through some Youtube clips of Ren & Stimpy. Hillarious! Too bad they don't make that kind of cartoons all the time and everywhere, especially when you have to watch them all day most of the week;) On thing I can't stand tho, Cow and Chicken - it's irritating! However, Johny Bravo rocks!!!

Spongebob is good stuff! My business partner loves to watch it so I've seen quite a few episodes. As Strummy says, it's definitely wasted on the young.

One of my all time favorite movie scenes ... when Sponge Bob is able to defeat Plankton's chum bucket helmets through the power of the guitar solo. It doesn't get any more rock and roll than at the start of SB's guitar solo at 1:07. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mi74Oswr_Vc

I have small children. I have seen all the Spongebob episodes and have laughed all the way through them. In fact, my littlest dubbed him "Bo-botsch" before she could pronounce Spongebob. We still call it that. I'm especially fond of Gary the snail who mews like a cat. "Adventure Time" is my newest favorite kid cartoon. Hilarious. Surreal. Worthy of my time. And of course, I think you all know how much I love Adult Cartoons like, "Squidbillies", "Aqua Teen Hungerforce" and ""Metalocolypse". If you don't know Metalocolypse, and you are a musician, especially a METAL musician, you are seriously missing out.

He he, neither had I until recently. I'm not into it long term. Just stepped up for some recording, editing and mix before deadline. So all done now, now it's over to some really annoying stuff for the youngest. I did, however, produce almost the entire 8th season of Pokemon in Norwegian And like so many else here, it seems, I can really recommend Spongebob for some brainless surreal humoristic entertainment

ProjectM..... I am curious. I am looking at your avatar and can't conclude what it actually is. Is the woman having some kind of dental work or is she eating something? I can usually understand an avatar,in this case I have no idea.It shows up as some kind of a red thingy on my screen. Hope you don't mind my asking.

He he, no worries Starise. To be honest, I have no idea. I googled "Rose" and this was one suggestion that I liked. I think it is a vampire woman chewing at a rose. There's probably some deep symbolism to it or it's just a very sexy way to portray something really stupid. Not sure. But I like the image
