If you record enable both instrument tracks at the same time, you'll be able to trigger and control both at the same time.

Check the MIDI notes that you are sending from your mpd 32. The SI drums respond to General MIDI drum assignments so you should be able to set your controller to a GM preset. MIDI Notes 35-36 will trigger Kick 1 & 2.

You can set the SI drums to sync to SONAR for playback. Then you can use the transport section on your MPD to control SONAR.

    Hope this helps!

chad just basically is saying.. get 2  instrument tracks up.. arm BOTH of them...

your akai should have a way of assigning the pads to specific numbers.. but IMHO

record the drums separate..  is there drum maps included with it?! that you could do the same thing with also..hhmm

All most all MIDI Drum controllers will come with a General MIDI preset check your manual to see what patch/preset number you need to be on to send General MIDI from your drum pads.

The MPD 32 is a great controller, have fun!
