surround controll idea.

I just watched a video about a JL Cooper remote controller for a light studio. Just stumbled on it. It gave me an idea for surround. Cakewalk is on the forefront with surround and it's controll of a stereo track in surround. The JL COOPER Eclipse CX has three trackerballs and a adjustable ring around it. One of such a trackerball could be the surround panner. And the adjustable ring could become the stereo with.

I asume it takes up less space then a VS700 handle and can be more multifunctional as it can dual integrate as a regular trackerball.

Maybe an idea.
