synth rack

Is it possible to have a floating synth rack in S8? Mine's locked at the bottom of the track view.

Click on the tab and it usually says it can be disabled/floated

    Hi Shawn-

You need to right-click and disable Tabbing, then click on the upper left on the window title bar and enable Floating. You should then be able to drag the Synth Rack wherever you want it.

yep.. I think it's because it's tabbed.. I just tried , as normally mine is left floating

go to "views" last option.. "enable tabbing" untick that

and hopefully that'll fix it.. if you click on the top left box , you'll notice there is an option to enable tabbing again IF thats what you want..

hope thats what you mean anyway

Thanks. That worked. But when I unchecked 'enable tabbing' two other views opened that are stuck behind the menu bar (dunno know what they are; the title bars are hidden and they're both solid white). How do I close them?

I tried this, but my synth rack still feels like it weighs a couple hundred pounds and takes a lot of effort to drag around. I definitely wouldn't call it "floating"...

    Oh that synth rack. Nevermind.
