Presuming you're using Sonar 8 (you don't say) try the menu Views/Tempo and delete any tempo entries on the right hand side

I suggest opening the Tempo Map View.  In the main Menu click VIEWS, then TEMPO.

The tools are in the upper left corner of the Tempo View. Use the ERASE tool to erase all the inserted tempos already there. Then use the DRAW TOOL to click in the desired tempo. Use the DRAW LINE TOOL to draw in tempo slopes so the tempo changes more gradually. Use the ZOOM buttons on the right side to zoom in/out vertically to different tempo resolutions. A good place to start is to zoom in/out until every horizontal line is one different in tempo from the ones directly above and below. 100, 101, 102, 103, etc.

The Tempo View is a very important tool and I suggest using it and becoming familiar with it.

To piggyback on this thread, is it possible to simply copy a segment of time containing tempo changes and paste that at another location? Not at my desk right now.

And is there a way to make the tempo view scroll with the piano roll view? (in sonar 8.5 or X1? I'm on 8.3).

    Thanks,

Yes, you can copy and paste tempo changes. See your original thread about that. The tempo view will scroll in sync with the track view if both horizontal zoom levels are the same.
