OK, It's done and delivered. Thanks for the feedback here and in PM's, this really helped a lot for me to get any confidence in the mix and do the neccesary adjustments

It'll have it's world premiere tomorrow. Fingers crossed

    Only listened with earbuts(?): there seems to be a bit of "S" on the vox.

    Otherwise sounds fine to me :)

    Yes, absolutely! Thanks for taking the time to listen. I really struggle with that voice thing. It was compressed to death and treated with all kinds of effects to get that Jigsaw effect when I got it (didn't make it my self) and I have no control over it really. But I will look into that. I have severe troubles finding confidence in this mix

    Listened to it a couple times through, loaded it up in Audition and checked out all the measurable parameters. Sounds pretty good to me! There's that big low-frequency whoomp at 1:29 that might blow up modest speakers, but given that you'll be playing it through a large system I'm sure it won't actually start a fire or anything. Only a handful of overs, nothing to worry about. Good spectral distribution with plenty of midrange that a PA system will like. -8db average RMS in the loud parts, good for a live setting and appropriate for the genre. I think they'll be very happy with this, assuming it isn't an acoustic folk band or something.


    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    Bitflipper - Thanks so much! That's pretty much my conclusion as well. I threw on a deesser on that voice thing but think I'll leave the rest as it is. I had some other fellas around here have a listen on their systems as well and they said pretty much the same. OK, I'm a little more confident now that skilled ears have listened to it. I'll leave the tune up until tomorrow morning incase someone else have something to chime in with.

    Oh, and it'll be loud when played on the PA so the whoomp should be interesting It's an intro for a pretty intense industrial metal band so I'm sure the audience and they will be fine.
