the cakewalk online store

This message is off-topic, but I don't know how to reach cakewalk in any other way, as I don't get an answer to my e-mails, and you don't pick up the phone when I call you. The matter is: october 31 I bought a copy of sonar studio in the cakewalk online store, and payed for it by creditcard (Order CW86477), but I never received it.
So, to the people at cakewalk, please contact me about this, and to the readers in this forum: don't buy anything in the online store...

I'm sure that your situation is frustrating, but I wouldn't bash Cakewalk's online store in Cakewalk's online forum. I've bought several things from them and had no problems. I'm sure it's just a mistake and they will sort it out. How long have you given them to respond to your e-mails? It takes some time, you know. They get quite a few.

How applicable to this topic! :) Yes, you're having a hard time now, tinus, but wait until you get your copy of Sonar!

It is nice that you are so considerate, but I'm waiting four weeks for a reply by now, and given the fact that I payed for something I didn't get, this is quite long...

Ouch! Four weeks is waaaaaaaay too long.... are you seriously saying that they don't answer the phone???

Your order must be waylaid somehow....there's too many successful transactions (to date!).

Good luck, but you shouldn't be needing it I believe.

This is a USER support forum, some Cakewalk employees do visit, but if you have an issue, you really need to contact them directly...

i've never had any problems with the online store. things seem to ship pretty fast.
one possibility (and this happened to me a couple of weeks ago) .. i ordered
something from an online retailer who's name evokes imagery of sugary aqua ;-)
something in the order triggered a credit card check and they were requested
by my card company to hold the order until they could confirm it with me.
the card company never called me. so, when i called the aforementioned
online retailer and said "hey, where the heck is it?" the told me to get
in-contact with the card co ... i did .. and they let the charge go through.

probably something like that .. and the card companies are way more
picky between oct and jan (in my experience).

Did you enjoy the candy that was packed in the box? Nothing like getting a new toy and ripping out a filling at the same time ;)

Did you get any confirmation emails saying your order went in? and/or got shipped?

When I ordered, I got emails all along the way.

And do you or your ISP use Spam-blockers? (they can cause problems with Cake's communications to you).

    Hi Jeff,

thanks for the suggestion, but it seems I cannot call 1-888 numbers from outside the US (I'm in the Netherlands).

So I'm still looking for a way to contact cakewalk about this failed delivery. (and SPAM blockers don't seem to be the problem, I'm pretty sure about that)

Last month (November) I placed an order for 2 items & I checked ahead to see if they were in stock & shipping. They confirmed & after a week I called to check & for the next 3 weeks twice a week I called back for a status & everytime they said it had been processed & I could expect my order within 2-3 days. After 3 weeks twice a week getting the same song & dance I requested them to cancel my order. Then I was told they could not cancel as it had been processed. After 2 more calls & nobody seeming to have a clue why they couldn't get my order shipped, they finally agreed to cancel & refund my C.Card. That's the 1st time in almost 6 years that I've been given such a run around but sadly, I was mislead again recently. I probobly have to believe that Cakewalk is having, "Growing Pains" as they used to be 100% accountable.... I'm hoping things stablize again as I've been a long time Customer... JMHO Wildman

Cakewalk refunded because they never did indeed process it.... Also, Cakewalk will & does forward tracking numbers when they ship & because I had not received my tracking numbers, I stayed consistent in following up & somehow my order became lost in the quagmire of sales/processing/ & shipping. You can call from anywhere however you will get a message saying that calls from outside of the USA will be charged and then they ask if you wish to continue. If you don't hang up you will be put in the queque of callers and someone will eventually answer the phone. When I have had problems with deliveries and believe you me I think all European Customers have, the only way you stand a chance is calling them direct.

As a footnote you certainly will not get much sympathy from the majority of poster on here who are in America and do get good service. If they got the same treatment as Europeans have gotten from Cake's Online Shop with deliveries of S5 and DPro then believe you me it would be a different story. I'm not having a go at anyone as that is a fact of life and would be exactly the same if the boot was on the other foot.
