    you should have been in Alaska. 

    I hear that Anchorage missed the all time biggest snowfall record for the season by 3"


    But yeah.... here in NC they opened late and closed early at the ski resorts and had to make snow all winter long when it was cold enough... horrible season for skiing.

    it's our only source of water.
    what falls in the upper canyons, and doesn't evaporate.....

    2nd driest state in the nation, no water aquifers, just snow/rain fall.

    it's kinda scary.

    farmers are already worried, and the growing season hasn't even started yet.....

    meanwhile folks with their huge yards of grass, watering for hours and hours....
    when they really should xeriscape the majority of it, just like in arizona.....

    We've converted to meadow garden here....as we are a bit dryer as well...

    But, yeah, definitely a scary situation there...
