and what genre???

    This segment of music can go in any number of directions.  Me, being rock oriented, would turn this into a rock song by adding a few chord changes, some guitar and vocals.  By adding a few chord changes, and sprinkling it with a few more textures, it could be an instrumental.  It doesn't sound like a dance song because the drum beat is kind of laid back and doesn't drive the song.  I hope this helps.
