And he sang about ' heavy metal thunder' Some argue that the use of the ubiquitous 5th 'chord' found in all metals styles was first used extensively by The Kinks - as in 'You Really Got Me' Now, back to yer bass and no more with yer messin'

Fog Twig, I'm not here all the year.. long story but wasn't when that happened. When buncefield happened... I was in London, and when the typhoon hit NW London just down the road from me I was out here.. If you shop in Jarman, I'm pretty close to there. all of 5 minutes at most. Part of why I come out here is no one knows me and I get more work done and no neighbors to moan about noise etc.hehe If you know muso's in London, then you probably know some people I do. I had loads as customers at an old job or thru a few labels I used to have dealings with. I now work on the Maylands Avenue Estate...so right on your doorstep!

Hi All, Posting from a rather wet and windy West Wales - LLanlwni to be precise (pronounced lan-loo-ni), about 12 miles North of Carmarthen. Couple I met a few weeks ago are building their new Studio in a converted barn just down the road at Gwyddgrug (pronounced gwith-grig) Don't think they are using Sonar though :-( Good to see a good few UK members here.
Homebuilt Desktop PC AMD Phenom II four-core processor 3.4Ghz Asus M5A78L AM3+ mobo, 16Gb Ram 120Gb SSD Programs, 1TB Project HDD, 1TB Samples HDD Sonar X2a Producer Sonar VS-100 Zoom R16 A-800 Pro Casio CTK-631 BK-7M (Midi/Wav backing module) Shure SM58 (still acquiring the kit!)

Hi Posting from Hampshire Been using cakewalk for 18 years now. Upgrading every couple of years. Still learning it really. Interested in online collabs if the music style suits. Mainly a vocalist. But also play Guitars a bit, ;acoustic, strat, jazz semi acoustic, Bass gtr, music production etc. Not brilliant at it, but I love it just the same. I used to play live gigs when younger, in social clubs, pubs, receptions, partys, old folks homes etc, but just do a bit at home for fun now.
www.soundcloud.com/the-wildman Lava Lamps, Paper & Comb, Gazoo, Referee Whistle, Jews Harp, Broom handle and string in a tea chest, Biscuit Tin and Drum Sticks (all 64bit) X2a (build 351)

Karyn Has this thread been here long? not noticed it before... I'm in Lincoln, that's in Lincolnshire. That place just below Yorkshire that nobody seems to have heard of... I'm in South Lincolnshire. That place just above Cambridgeshire that nobody seems to have heard of.. Or "near Norfolk", that ALL Sonar users have heard of, thanks to FBB.
Sonar X2a build 351 x64, X1d Expanded x64 , HP Pavillion with i7-2600 @ 3.4GHtz, Win7 x64, 8 Gig Ram, SPS-66 Firewire, much outboard gear.. "Admittedly, it is difficult to reason people out of positions they didn't use reason to attain." - Craig Anderton

Bristol_Jonesey No prizes for guessing where I'm based So what's the point of guessing if there's no prize? What sort of a competition is this?

Bristol_Jonesey Hey! Did someone say competition????? I'm in, what do we have to do? Send me your £25,000 entry fee for a guaranteed chance * to win £1,000,000 Simples!! Just take a look at what some of our happy winners have to say: ~ " Wow. I can't believe I haven't received my cheque yet" (Colin Bristol; Jonestown Guyana) ~ " I sent my cheque back because they accidentally made it out to Colin Bristol" (Pistolpete; Cakewalk Forum) ~ " Steve Strummer is nothing but a cheating, lying feckwit" (Steve Strummer; UK) * Odds of winning major any prizes vary between none and bugger all.
