I have the vstudio installed on vista64. If i upgrade to windows 7 will I need to remove the vstudio drivers and then install the windows 7 drivers or would i just install the windows 7 drivers on top of the vista drivers after upgrading?

You'll need to install the Win7 drivers after upgrading from Vista 64. In all honesty, I would consider doing a clean install of Windows7 if you are planning on using it instead of Vista. As tempting as an upgrade can be (don't have to re-install everything), I find clean installs almost always work better than an upgraded OS. YYMV of course.
