Sonar 8.5.2 Win 7 (64bit) and Media browser

Hi all,

Hope anyone can help me with this problem.

The media browser doesn't show my rex files. Initially I also had the problem with RXP not loading the files but i managed to fix that by changing the rex shared library to 1.5.4 ( was 1.6) Media browser can show wav files no problem but no rx2. If I click on the explorer icon in media browser i can see the rx2 files but not in the media browser, so can't preview them. I am using the 64 bit version of Sonar.

tia

I am not sure but I suspect this is because REX is not 64 bit compatable.

RPX works because its a 32 bit VSTi running under bit bridge

yup the sonar manual states that rex files are only compatible with the 32bit version of sonar.....propellerheads really need to get off their butss and make rex and rewire work under 64bit!

    Thanks for your reply.

32 bit version of Sonar or OS. I just installed the 32b version of Sonar to check it out and the same problem.  Could this be and OS thing?

Sorry I take that back. It does work in the 32bit Sonar. For some reason I can now see the rx2 files.

Will have to do with the 32b sonar untill prop comes out with the long awaited 64b support.

    thanks

probobly gonna be a while..apparently 64bit just allows you bigger ram usgae and faster offline processing.I have win 7 64bit and my comp is totally stbale    but with a few of the included plug-ins sonar 64 will glitch or stop responding...then they work perfectly under 32 bit.....so ill just stay 32bit myself till its all figured out!
