PH68 Is there an actual need for a new version of Sonar? No, Sonar 8.5 is perfect. I'll be super bummed if they update the 1990's era GUI.

Problem is everyone wants more and more features and that introduces bugs (not of the 4 legged sort). Sometimes less is more!

[pedantic] if by "not the 4 legged sort" of bugs you mean the slang term for insects then "bugs" have 6 legs by definition. [/pedantic] carry on with your regularly scheduled Sonar X speculation/bashing/anxiousness/etc...

And that my friend would be a new version too. I never saw a bugfix that not had update to version history. So 8.5.4 would be cool.

You guys are so slow.... I've been using version 9 for months! & I can tell you - its the best version yet: I havent had a single crash in months, they fixed audiosnap, they've bundled a suite of absolutely fantastic plug ins that seem as though they've all been made by the same manufacturer. + We've even been given a decent sampler that reads all formats! Not sure why they felt it was necessary to re-name it Logic though. :)

Hello, It's been a while... So, you guys are still waiting for an answer or new version, or at least a bug-fix? I feel sorry for you. Since I switched to Reaper, I've been really happy. It works really good for my needs. Remember when you guys told me over and over again how it was my system's fault, my OS, my "bad" plug-ins etc etc.? Well...Reaper doesn't seem to mind all that "bad juju". So... my advice to Cakewalk is to try and work out a better code for Sonar if they want to keep their followers. PS: I do not work for Cockos, nor am I a paid endorser or something. I was a frustrated Sonar user, now a happy Reaper user. I still check around here to see when and if you will step your game up. Cheers and Happy Halloween.
