Keyboard Control of Sonar and Reason

I think it is time to retire my old Radium 49; bit flakey.

I'm looking towards the A-800 Pro but I also need to control Reason. I don't think there is the same out-of-the-box support for Reason. Perhaps there is no such keyboard that plays equally well with both apps.

I've not previously used my my controller for controlling the software to any meaningful degree but I'd like to up my game. I'd prefer not to spend hours and hours setting up the controller but I realize there is some setup. But I'd rather play..

Anyone using the A-800 with reason or otherwise have a good recco for a controller in the ~$400 range? Sonar is my main app, so the bias is in that direction.

I have the A-300 pro and that works fine for me. I'm not much of a keyboard player, just using for sounds and samples and sometimes to control the Sonar Mixer (faders & knobs)
