Once upon a time there was an intellectual mindset and people sought a way to bring those individual ideas to a place where impressions could be compared and discussed. An assembly of minds, a forum of ideas, a place to pose a question and get all the different results of individual observations and therefore get more input to add to your own observation. It's still trying to occur as the process has been found to become more complex with each observation that has been added.

I'm guessing whatever it was is now gone?

Don't know, but the link leads right back to the Coffee House which seems comfortingly appropriate, ya?

Alright, look, we only have one working straight jacket left. I am going to have to ask you all to tone it down until we get the other ones repaired, or the restless gods in the sonar forum upstairs might begin to melt down and have a kanipshun. Humor is apparently too much for them, so please... no more fun. k? Ah! I saw that. Smiling is frowned upon too!

I hope our superiors upstairs don't see us acting up and think badly of us.  Their opinion of the Coffee House is SO very important to me.  Of course, all of their opinions are "special".

That's why I'm wearing my good Moob tassels.

I have yet to see anyone upstairs who I'd call a "superior."  I also have no use for anyone who takes themselves too seriously, they're just fooling themselves.

To quote Chico Marx, "Why a duck?"

Of course it could just be a human physical movement to avoid being hit by the consequences of cowtowing or cowpitulating to steerious humor.
