Missing things in trial version...normal? - April 10, 12 7:20 PM ( #1 )
I'm trying to set up the metronome for example, and under the audio settings there are supposed to be a range of sounds to use with the metronome, but none are there.

Sonar x1 has a tone of effects, but none are there?

Are these things missing because I'm using a demo version?

Thanks

Yes. To keep the download size small(er) many addons are omitted.

You can go to this link here http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2311878

Which will take you here http://www.cakewalk.com/products/sonar/web-trial.aspx to learn more.
Don't forget to download the tutorial content.

You may also need to have your audio and midi settings configured differently. Once in, press P to open preferences.

Well only if one thinks 4 double layer DVDs should have been included with the trial.

Good point John, so when I buy Sonar, I'll have to buy a physical copy I guess I ? No downloads?

Sonar itself ain't that big (for these days, anyway).  But Dimpro is a full disk by itself, as well as beatscape.  The download doesn't include these samples, which is probably where the metronome sounds went.  As well as the audio clips that come w/ sonar.

It takes a while to simply load all that into your computer - downloading it would double the time (at least!).

The DVD purchase is an option but they actually recommend downloading the files. They are broken into a series of several file downloads but you will need a fast connection speed nontheless.
