Just a thanks to Cakewalk for a great upgrade price to Sonar Producer from Sonar Studio. I just upgraded for $99.00. That's $200.00 off the normal upgrade price. I'm a Pro Tools user also, and the $300.00 upgrade prices for a user such as myself are getting to be just too much. Downloading it now. Thanks again. Great price.

I was asking myself if I should do it ... I think the most interesting factor is the console emulator (as I have Duende, UAD2, powercore, Prochannel is not the most appealing thing to me right now), and the content club .. but I haven't got the chance to listen to it, see if it really something that would improve my mixes. I wish I didn't upgrade to X2 studio already, since the upgrade price for X1 is the same, so it ends up at 200$ for me... From a studio edition perspective, let me know what you think, I really would appreciate it ! Cheers ! V

Actually for me it was the Pro Channel, and the price, that convinced me to do it. I like the idea of having an EQ, compressor, and console emulator right there on each channel. I never expected to see a $99.00 upgrade price from Studio. I doubt you'll better than that cost wise for what you gain. The email I got said the price was good until the 15th of March. My path to getting X2 Producer was a $99.00 upgrade from Home Studio 4 (bought years ago) to X2 Studio, and now $99.00 to upgrade from X2 Studio to X2 Producer. So I essentially have X2 Studio and X2 Producer for $198.00. Not bad.
