5.1 Surround Sound w/ MOTU 828mKII

I currently own Project 5 and a MOTU 828mKII and would like to upgrade to Sonar 5. I am interested in creating 5.1 surround sound music. Is it possible to do this with the MOTU 828mKII? Is anyone creating surround sound music out there?

You can create surround mixes on any multichannel audio card that has the requisite number of outputs. For 5.1 or 7.1 mixes you should be able to use the MOTU 828 with SONAR. You will obviously need surround speakers to monitor your mixes in surround.

Me too. Too many people get confused about surround. 6 output from the 828 allow you to hook up 6 speakers which = 5.1.

By the way, I love surround in high definition (88.2). I will never record anything less again (at least anything that matters.)

I use the RPC-1 & SI-24 (Roland) in 5.1 surround. It is nice.

If you are just starting out Discwelder Bronze is a nice way to start with authoring in DVD-A.

I use Bagend speakers. You should hear em too.
