Tempo Scale

Here is a problem which I try to solve for a long time. Lets say I have a song with tempo 96 bpm. Within this song there are small tempo changes: fermatas, accelerando and ritenuto, tenuto and so on.

This suppose to be a piece for vocal and orchestra. I made an arrangement using Edirol orchestra soft synthesizer. Now I do vocal recording with my client.
The problem is that he doesn't know what exact tempo he needs. He would say: - OK, let's try 94 pbm, or later: - No, too slow, make it 98.
Question: how do I change main tempo from 96 to 94 or 98 pbm and keep all relative changes?

Asked and answered just yesterday, I believe. Use Fit To Time, and make sure you use the Tempo Map option.

Yes, in the Fit To Time window you can enter New Thru, but in numbers of SMPTE or M:B:T only. The question is: how to calculate this New Thru to change tempo from X bpm to Y bpm?

Is there some third party plug-in for scaling tempo in Sonar? Something like this: select time region in the ruler, launch plugin, enter old tempo and new tempo, and tempo map within selected region changes accodingly. In other words, shift selected tempo map by certain percentage.

Someone was showing me Cubase the other day, and you can just drag the tempo map up and down in tempo view to change the overall tempo of a section preserving the overall tempo change relationships. Simple really, but not something Sonar can do. The feeble tempo tools in sonar are becoming a bit of a show stopper for me....

Can Sonar add this to there lists of future developments please (I had requested this for sonar 8, and talked to them personally at Digital Village last year, to no avail).
