Amplitube Demo

Hi everyone. Long time cakewalk user here (HS9). Long time forum lurker I'm using Sonar HS6 with a Delta 1010LT. Best set up I've ever had. No problems, until now. I downloaded the Amplitube demo. Works great standalone. My latency for my card is 1.5ms. Anyway, when I try to use in Sonar, it is no where to be found. No matter what I do, I cannot get it to show up as a plug in. I have not seen this reported yet. I downloaded it this past Sunday. I also downloaded the demo of the Hendrix version. Same problem. I have no problems with any of the cakewalk plug ins, soft synths etc. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
p.s. the help for both is no help. According to it, it's just supposed to be there as a plug in when you select audio FX.

HS9, I believe is DX capable only, if Amplitude is a VST then you won't be able to use it. you'll have to upgrade HS9 to SHS6(XL) to get VST capability.

    What version of Sonar? SHS6?
Check the sub menu's. In my case, AmplitubeLE VST appears under the VST submenu at the bottom of the list.

    Karl,

Sounds like you did not add the amplitube folder to the list in the Plug-in Manager. I no longer have amplitube installed so can't say the exact folder name, it's probably something like c:/ProgramFiles/Amplitube/?????. Sonar HS6 scans the folders it knows about for VSTs at start up. Not all VSTs will install into the Cakewalk VST folder, some will install into the default Steimberg location. C:/Programfiles/VSTplugins, look for that folder too.

Another place to look is under FX area in the track. FreeAmp got moved to there in HS6.

Ed, thanks so much for the help. I had tried that earlier and it didn't work. I now know that I was looking in the wrong place. A little search brought me to an old version of Cubasis VST that's still installed on my machine from my TASCAM USB interface. Sure enough digging down I found the right folder. Once I hit it, Amplitube popped right in. Works fine. Now I just have to determine if I even want it. Again, thanks for the help.
