I say you guys just have a surprise release right now. BAM! no warning, no build up. Just POW! SMACK! Sonar 7 available in download format. Even if it's just available to a few select users (me) in the next 20 minutes. I would greatly appreciate it.

You don't understand; they have to sell off the old stock with specials first. I got my upgrade to 6xl mail a day or so ago..I have s6p :-)

We understand. Not to worry. It will come in due time. No wine before its time.

Look at it this way, if it came out now we would want to get it so there is a $190 upgrade or so...
So they are saving us money for now...
I am looking forward to it.
I wonder what will be in it. I think we can all guess based on the past.

To me the updates in Sonar have been alot more impressive then the Project 5 ones have been.

But you can tell us, right? I swear I wont tell anyone. And probably no one will read this post other than me and the orignal OP. It will be our special secret.

Thanks

Hey thanks. I kind of feel like a jerk for pulling these things down. I'd love for you guys to get a look at SONAR 7, because what we have in store is pretty exciting, but I have my marching orders...no leaks.

Well, I just "jumped ship" (from cubase SX3) 14 days ago due to the nice upgrade offer from music creator. According to the leaked feature list I will "have to" upgrade right away.

Still getting familiar with S6 though, it's very different from Cubase after all those years. Anyway I already like the way I can open any GM file, fire up a TTS-1 and all midi tracks are connected to the right instruments...

Very nice to quikly edit a file...

I saw this once in garageband and I was so envious. In Cubase I have Halion, but I had to do all the connections (tracks>sounds) manually, what a drag...

I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I don't have time to sit around and worry about Sonar 7. I got tunes to make. Right now, Sonar 6 is handling that for me. When 7 gets the green light, I'll see it.

As for the chuckleheads leaking the info. Stop, you aren't impressing anyone. In fact, the lack of integrity you've shown by leaking the info certifies you as a grade A loser.

With the whole world awaiting the imminent release of S7, I hope the Bakers have upgraded their servers and fixed the bugs international buyers have experienced ordering previous Sonar versions.

I think any major product release must be tough on them.

Probably best to expect the worst, but hope for the best.

I hope the 64 bit drivers tool box has a lot more in it

Don't know whats with this WDK audio drivers stuff in 6, I thought ASIO was the newest.

I would also like to see it recognize the MOTU 828mkll;
they seem to want to both lead when it comes to the dance.[sm=rolleyes.gif]
I still enjoy the leading host with the most (SONAR-6 pe) so don't get me wrong.
Guess you cant please everybody, eh
