Show hidden tracks? +envelopes

Hey fellas

I'm new to sonar and I am working with a prject now but I did hide one of the miditracks by accident a copple of days ago and I can't figure out how to make it visible again :) which is kinda bad because it has an awful lead recorded on it.

If omeone knows the answer please put some lines here for me ;)

I also have another pretty basic question... its about evelopes (which is like automation in logic right?).

How to see them and the most important; How to envelope things lik Mix or Feedback in plugins?

I'm super greatful for any answers

Cheers

Hit the "M" key - this will bring up the track manager where you can show or hide tracks by selecting their checkboxes.

Envelopes can be used to automate lots of things like pan/gain/velocity/bus send level/bus return level/bus return balance/main out volume/main out balance and many many more things. It wont get rid of feedback, unless you set the envelope as a gain envelope and set it all the way down so you can hear it. if your getting feedback, try and control it at iots source. its not good to fix those things in the mix.

You can also hit 'A' to show all.

You have to insert them first: right-click in the clips pane and choose "envelopes > create ...". There are track and clips envelopes available. For the latter you have to right-click on a clip of course. For details look up "Automation" in the manual. Not sure what you mean by the last sentence, but it might clear up for you when you dig into the manual - post back if you have specific questions/problems.

In logic I could control the plugin-controls like cutoff, feedback in delay-plugins, mix etc with automation and control them to change over time in the song.
That's what I want to accomplish in sonar :) hope this made it more clear.

    cheers

after you insert the plugin, you can add the envelope and any automateable parameters for that plugin will show up as available envelope options in the Create>Track Envelope list, in addition to the normal pan, sends, level, mute, etc...

Uncle Meat said it. CJ, I think he's talking about the feedback parameter of an effect, like a delay line, not actual feedback because of a poor instrument recording.

newform: go to the help...search... and paste in Automating Individual Effects Parameters - the second hit in the search will tell you what you want to know, I think.
